THE BLACKENED MUSIC SERIES PRESENTS
THE BODY and BRAVEYOUNG
with The Paranoid Critical Revolution
Thursday February 9 at Saint Vitus, Brooklyn
The collaborative LP by The Body and Braveyoung was one of 2011′s great lost treasures. A fantastic album, it merged the Providence duo The Body’s avant-sludge rumble and boom with North Carolina post-rock band Braveyoung’s unseen depth and emotion. With an added glow coming from the celestial Assembly of Light Women’s Choir, Nothing Passes is an extraordinary listen. Decibel Magazine calls it, “Hypnotic, heavy as hell, and truly beautiful.”
Joining The Body and Braveyoug on this show is Paranoid-Critical Revolution featuring Reg Bloor and Libby Fab from Glenn Branca’s ensemble. Expect a fusillade of guitar adrenaline and overdrive, or as noise blog No Core writes, “part black metal, part no wave, and part nuclear holocaust.”
